Norma Elizabeth McCall was born January 13, 1922 to James L. and Irene Frances Hoskins, who both preceded her in death. She was the first of seven children. She accepted Christ at an early age through the Presbyterian faith. She later converted to Catholicism with her husband, Lester. She attended Dolittle Elementary School and Hyde Park High School. Through Various organizations, she met the love of her life Lester G. McCall who preceded her in death. They were married 55 years. To this union 11 children were born and she also, mothered his son from a previous marriage. She was a Homemaker and mainly devoted her time to raising her children. Since she was always interested in children’s education, for a time, she was a salesperson for World Book Encyclopedia. She was small in stature, with a queen-size heart. She dedicated her life to her family. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them rallying them together for a good meal and good times. She also, loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano for them. People were always amazed at her wit and wisdom, in spite of her age. She was known as “the Queen”, “The Matriarch of the family”, and “Corleone” (mob boss). She had a gentle but strong spirit, which made her able to chastise you with love. She was devoted to her church, The Faith Community of St. Sabina. Even when she couldn’t physically attend, she faithfully watched them every Sunday via the Live Stream. She was recently honored as the eldest member of the church. Because of her faithfullness in the Lord, she encouraged us to trust God, read His Word and go to church, which is practiced. She earned her wings on Tuesday May 26, 2020. She left us peacefully at home. She was preceded in death by 5 children, Wesley, Anthony, Deborah, Michael and Renee. She was also preceded in death by all 6 of her siblings. She leaves to mourn 7 of her 12 children, Lester, Frank(Wanda), Lenora, Jeff(Kim), Teresa(Calvin-fiance), Janis(Alex), and Charlayne(Nolan). She leaves to cherish her memory, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a special nephew and niece, Joseph and Irene Hoskins,
